I askCan you remember when you saw the light burn so bright in somebodies eyes that you knew nothing would stop them?I ask
When was the last time you knew that a person was a great person simply because they were alive? Do you know a time when you felt inspired just by a persons presence? Did you know somebody who you trusted with everything in your heart? Have you met somebody with such confidence that you believed them against reason? Can you imagine a person who never did what they believed was wrong? Was it you?


PerhapsMaybe you saw the gleaming eyes bright future Perhaps you felt the quiet warmth of hope in your heart Possibly you heard a whisper that we are not in the dark Could be that you taste the sweetness of purpose Was it that you smelled fear too strongly? Will it be that you will change?Perhaps


Under Their ShoeWhy do I clean their sole as it covers with mold? Why do I pull out the errors from their print like rocks from a tread? Why do I pay them to keep the pressure steady? Why do I lift them to step on others? Why do I climb to get closer to the bottom of that shoe? Why can nobody see beyond the toe of this? Why does direction no longer matter?
